Discovery call

A conversation, not a sales pitch

Before enrolling in anything, it helps to talk through where you are and what independent consulting might actually look like for someone with your background.

What the call covers

Twenty five minutes, four things to cover

The discovery call is short by design. Its purpose is to help both sides understand whether the course timing and content make sense right now, not to walk you through a sales script.

  • A brief look at your current role and the network you would be drawing a niche from.
  • An honest read on whether you are closer to module one or module five in your thinking.
  • A plain explanation of what the eight modules do and do not cover.
  • Time for your questions, including ones about pacing, cohort size, or timing around a resignation.

There is no obligation attached to the call. Some people book it out of curiosity months before they plan to act, and that is a reasonable use of the time.

A quick gut check

A call tends to be useful when

  • You are seriously weighing a move to independent work sometime in the next year.
  • You have questions about how the modules apply to your particular industry or role.
  • You want to understand cohort timing before committing to a start date.

You can probably skip the call if

  • You have already read the Before You Enroll page and are ready to reach out directly by email.
  • You are looking for financial or legal guidance, which this course and this call do not provide.
  • You need a specific promise about income or client volume before proceeding.
Common questions

Before you reach out

How do I actually book the call?

Use the contact form on our Contact page, or email us directly, and mention that you would like to schedule a discovery call. We will reply with a small set of available times.

Do I need to prepare anything beforehand?

No preparation is required. It can help to have a loose sense of who might make up your first few consulting clients, but this is not a requirement to book.

Is the call the same as enrolling?

No. The call is separate from enrollment and carries no commitment on either side. Enrollment details are covered on the Before You Enroll page.

Will you tell me if consulting is right for me?

We can share observations based on what you describe, but the decision, and any financial or legal implications of it, remains yours to work through, ideally with qualified professionals where relevant.
